funny. i was born and raised an atheist, yet i am not one. i must be crazy and must be institutionalized.
(though the chick is hot and has got a nice rack)0 -
It's not enough to merely believe anymore. You can not Serve God and Mammon. 0 -
these morons don't even know science, physics, logic or anything for that matter. all they know is how to lie well.
(and "these morons" i don't mean the two nice gentlemen debating the point of believing in God)0 -
I think it would be rather nice and considerate IF for the benefit of those with dial up that a brief summary be posted....A lot of times those videos wont load for dial up and they might appreciate knowing what the heck is on the video and what you are talking about...
BR..NOT classic..0 -
Heard a couple of sick burns in there directed towards the "believers". 0 -

ja, those athiest be wicked smart.[:D]0 -
Yeah...athiests at like extreme and religious nuts are like extreme (example), either one isnt completely right.
Still think they're a bunch of idiots0 -
Black Roses, the debate was in five segments totaling forty-seven minutes. It was a good debate, but no new ground was covered on either side. I thought Ray Comfort's presentation should be persuasive to a reasonable person, but it was not scientific proof. I'm sure an atheist would think the same about the other side. I can't say who an unbiased person would say won the debate, but there are no unbiased people anyway. 0 -

that was a very unfair setup, those two guys were setup to "lose" the "debate", so to a truly unbiased person that would look exactly like a setup but they did pretty well. what i can't understand is why do these atheist kinds care such a great deal about what people believe or don't in their spare time.0 -
I don't really, as long as you don't preach to me. 0 -

A brief direction concerning the debate video: Right side of screen are the various segments of the debate.
Black Roses, I surely did'nt intend to mislead anyone.
But if I owe you an apology I am willing to offer it. [:)]0 -
imagine raising a kid that you love and when he gets to a point where he can make decisions on his own, he chooses to love your neighbor who has more stuff in his garage and more money than you.
you being the politically correct man you are, you say its ok and that he has a right to believe whatever he wants.
then one day you notice some things missing from your house. then more and more and next thing you know your son has given all YOUR STUFF to the neighbor and you see him thanking the neighbor for all the gifts that YOU supplied him.
one day your son is seen walking down the street and he passes you. you say "hello son, will you come home?" he says he doesnt know you and says you never exisited.
THATS athesism.
sadly, you walk away on your way to the bank that you own, the mint that you own, the town that you own, the country you own, the wildlife preservation that you own, the oceans that you own, all the hospitals that you own, all the fun parks, grocery stores and malls that you own.....knowing that the things your son had for a short while were just loaned to him and will eventually be returned to you when you send your re-po men out to get them back. your son forgot that you owned the world and that all of it was his free to have already.
THATS GOD.
all God has ever wanted from man in return for all these gifts was for us to acknowledge him as the giver and to love him. sad, the easiest things are so hard to do when we forget who our father really is and go chasing after the imposter.
THATS THE DECEPTION.[;)]0 -
GOD, a supreme being that can do everything (but does nothing) , knows everything (but says nothing), is present everywhere (but is conveniently invisible).
Some in here have no Idea what atheists are. They really need to get a clue.0 -
Classis you and I have been over this time and agian. God can intervene in this world, and he does from time to time as far as I'm concerned. His world, his extince is on a different plain. 0 -
Show me an undisputed proven case that GOD has done anything to intervene in this world.. and I might change my mind . NAH! never happen. You can say all day that god did this and god did that, but you have no FACTUAL PROOF, just words, nothing more. Sorry I aint buying it.[:0] OH yea, I forget "Faith" but that is just admitting ya got no proof.[:0] 0 -

Faith classic, faith. Some have it, some don't. Some wont it, most don't. You cannot have that which you do not want. Buying it or not, its your business, not mine.0 -
Here is one church's opinion about the subject:

You just gotta have faith that Zeus exists, I mean, heck, you see all that lightning, thats Zeus getting mad, its his signature.... your jesus god doesnt even have a signature.... you can chose to credit anything to him or not. Ooh look, I found $5 in the laundry, praise the lord.
Id be more inclined to believe in the Greek and roman gods than this one, at least they had a more clearly defined set of rules. And those gods were not portrayed as completely benevolent beings, which would explain why the world is so f-ckd up.
The mere notion of the devil should disprove god. If god is omnipotent, why is the devil still around. If you don't believe in the devil, why is there evil in the world? The whole thing is utterly ridiculous.0 -
it's not the point of what you do or don't believe in, the point is that most (i don't say _all_, i say _most_) of "believers", regardless of faith, don't give a flying hoot about what you believe in, and atheists take it as a personal offense if someone believes _ANYTHING_ and they try hard to discredit that person on all possible levels. is that more or less comprehensible? 0 -
I didn't take offense until bobski equated my beliefs to those of a spoiled child. 0
