We all believe our faith will get us to heaven but The Bible says that many will be cast down even having performed miracles and casting out demons in the name of Jesus so maybe you missed the point and your faith wasn't enough. So...suppose the rapture comes and you are still here...you know the bible and this is your wake up call. you refuse to accept the mark of the beast because you know it will damn your soul to hell. according to the Antichrist now in control you cannot buy or sell with out the mark. people are hunting you... police have your name on a list.... I could write a book about this call it "Still here"

I have a nephew by marriage. He is 24 and not very bright. All his life his mom has been an enabler. Any time he gets into trould she bails him out. He was kicked out of the Army, lost a great job with Coca Cola, knocked up a chick and other dumb moves in the last few years.
He moves in as a roommate of a girl he barely knows on Sat. Wednesday night her ex boyfriend breaks in and starts to beat her--and tells him to stay out of it or he will kill him. What does my nephew do? Nothing!! The punk then steals the girls car. My nephew couldn't get ahold of mommy at 2:30am so he calls my wife saying theres an emergency and can he come over. She says ok. When he gets here I learn more and ask why didn't he protect the girl and her kid..at the least he could have called the cops. He just shruggs and says he will have to move. I go to bed and tell the wife if he is here when I get home from work tomorrow we are going to have an issue.
She calls her sister(his mom) to let her know what happened. She also told her we would not let him stay here as we dont want his drama. He didnt even know if the punk had followed him to my house[:(!] So now my sister in law is pissed at me because I won't let him stay. So sad too damn bad I say. Im not going to enable his poor choices. The cops did catch the guy and his bail was set at $100K for 4 felony charges.
Thank goodness the rest of my nephews are decent, upstanding adults and not wannabe thugs0 -
Guy wins an auction of mine and then changes his mind after he talks to a buddy. Wants to change to a different item if I have it. I checked and I honestly did not. He then sends another e-mail, asking to change his item won in for another one I have for sale. I make him an offer on that "swap". No-go for him, now he wants me to, his words, "cancel my auction because GB has cancelled his acct. anyway."!![:0][:0]

Ok I'm in this pawn shop looking at guitars, like I need another one, when I notice the pawn shop guy fiddling with a single action .22 revolver. He's trying to get the cylinder out of it but it won't budge. I asked if I could take a look and he says, "sure", and hands it to me. I look at it and the firing pin is protruding so far that the cylinder is hanging on it. The pawn shop guy says he's not interested as the revolver is obviously broken. I asked the lady does she want to sell it. She says yes but the pawn shop guy says take it outside, she can't sell it in here. I wait around because she has two cheap survival knives that pawn shop guy is looking at but he's not interested. Anyway, the lady and her mom meet me in the parking lot. She wants $100 for the revolver. I tell her under the circumstances I'd give her $40 for it and take my chances. She wants $50 and says she'll throw in one of the knives. Nope, $40 take it or leave it. She takes the $40 and once I get home I get it all apart and the spring is missing off the part that rotates the cylinder. The hand I think it's called. One of those deals where you point it at the floor and it rotates the cylinder and locks up fine. So I get on the net and find the piece I need, $25 and some change including shipping. Still only in the gun about $65 or so but I think I did okay. Oh and no it wasn't a Colt, just an FIE but still a solid little revolver. So would you buy a gun with obvious problems if you got a deal on it? Oh and it came with a leather holster that looks like it fits a 1911 type handgun. I'm thinking the holster may be worth $40 by itself. Just wondering. 0 -
this is a serious question.
i have a chance to but my dream car, a 2004 dodge viper.
the price is right, but the mrs says no car loans.
between the trade in and some cash, i'm still $8K shy.
the seller will finance the balance at $500/mo with 10% interest if i give him $10k of my guns as collateral. he's trustworthy but the interest rate is high.
i could just sell $8000 of guns and be done with it, but.......
guns continue to appreciate and cars depreciate, i know that, but will the guns appreciate more than what the loan costs?
any accountants out there?

Say somebody wearing a full face helmet comes up to you after you have just put the keys in the ignition, pulls out a handgun and asks you to dismount and back away and after you have done so, starts the bike and rides away.
If you are also carrying a handgun, can you legally shoot the thief in the back and kill him, without being prosecuted by the police.
I know every state has different laws, so this is directed to people who live in one where it is permitted to carry a handgun on ones person.0 -

You make sure the guy you shot is incapacitated and unarmed. You call 911 and tell them you need an ambulance for you and another person. you do not appologize to anyone and you get treated for shock. Then you answer no questions without an attorney. 0 -
Cartod's got the right idea. However, if I were to have to shoot, it wouldn't be a shot intended to wound. It would be a well placed shot to center mass, better chance of stopping them. If they die, so be it, they brought it upon themselves. I would stay at the crime, don't try to hide the weapon or move the body. Sit and wait. Do not show admission of guilt or fault (just like in a car wreck), do not answer any questions without an attorney, make sure you have the whole incident committed to memory. 0 -

I suppose i could holster the weapon and pose as an onlooker 'til the police arrived. Lie if anyone asks me where the shooter went. That isn't illegal is it? Especially considering the safety risks of identifying yourself as the shooter. 0 -
I think if your in hostile territory, maybe keep 911 on the cell and move to a safer location. Ditch the gun before the cops show up! 0 -
The first thing I would do is take a college course taught by a working LEO pertaining to the use of deadly force. Or take a CCW course so that the specific legal issues and correct terminology are committed to memory. Then you will KNOW when you may shoot, and not just guessing or taking information from questionable sources.
Because it's your a$$ that's on the line, and just leaving the scene is a violation of law in most states.0 -

Yup, it's best to have one side of the story, if you get my drift[;)]. In todays society, the general public (jury) may side with the "victim" of the shooting, not concentrating on who was the real victim. Playing the shooter as the bad guy.0 -

I wouldn't flee the scene, that's for sure. If one of the guy's buddies/family/freinds/etc. DOES come out and come after you, well he has a choice to make. You just shot and killed one man, is he bad enough to take you on? And if he DOES attack you- well then, that's two justified self defense killings on your part.
In the best of times it is going to be a sticky situation, proving you were in your right to shoot, unless in your own home and the perp has a gun. But I'd rather face a jury of my peers than pallbearers of my freinds.0 -
Stay at the scene until the police arrive. Fleeing the area will look very suspicious. You already have a gun, you should be able to defend yourself until the police arrive.
Whatever you do, don't try to escape or tamper/destroy evidence.0
