I dont get it either....it works if you really do the numbers, but my daughter and I randomly picked and it didnt... I dont get it... but neat anyway. 0 -
I tried it about 6 times and it was wrong everytime?? 0 -
It was right for me. But then again I'm pretty predictable. 0 -
Didn't work for me. 0 -
did'nt work
wrong #0 -
thats freaky because i picked some random stuff and it kesep guessing it. 0 -
alright thats just annoying after a while 0 -
The answer is...........
If you do the math correctly, you always get a multiple of 9 (9, 18, 27, 36, ....). If you look at the patterns at the end, all of the multiples of 9 have the same symbol. They just change the symbols for the multiples of 9 each time, so that it looks like it is guessing randomly.0 -

And it doesn't stay up very long for you to look at it, but for a rough estimate, I'd guess the same symbol is used 6 or 7 times for different numbers. It guessed me right many times in a row until I randomly picked another number that ended up being the same symbol that I had previously. It didn't repeat the symbol again, but put up another random symbol, that was wrong. 0 -
try glancing at your numbers symbol so you know what it is then pick a different one to concentrate on it still shows the one that matches your correct answer........clearly the work of the devil[}:)] 0 -
Great!!!
Thanks a lot for the link
Now there's a witch in my computer, and I have to burn it.

exactly it! I saved the image several times and each time all the multiples of 9 had the same symbol. The only wat it would be wrong is if someone didnt add/subtract correctly.0 -
Pick a two digit number. Let X be the first digit, and Y the second.
We can then write your number as 10X + Y. It then asks you to subtract (X+Y) from your number (ie add the first and second digits together and subtract that from the original number)
This yeilds 9X. So whatever number you pick, you will get a multiple of 9.
Now the symbols for 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, and 81 are all the same.
These are all multiples of 9.
Thus your number will always result in a multiple of 9, and it will always display the symbol found on all the multiples of 90
