Brits going after Airguns
Apparently 12 ft lbs is too much power, or they are concerned they can be modified to be more powerful- much like our media vilifies semi-autos and often portrays them as machine guns or readily modifiable into a machine gun.

Two swans were seriously injured after being shot by crossbows in Glasgow last week in incidents which were described as "barbaric cruelty" by police.

Apparently those brits also have a group called mothers against guns, its a group petitioning for the removal of all guns from the UK, and by guns they mean any thing gun like, such as air weapons and imitation weapons.
However, I found this site about French guns laws, that sounded surprising considering what I heard about most of Europe's gun laws.
I guess Europe's aren't that bad, those swiss are pro gun, Isn't Denmark pretty liberal when it comes to guns too? (liberal as in preserving Liberties, not liberal as in "left" politics)

Maybe Calif. sucks, but Texas is getting close- think after the guns are gone, they'll stop?
Texas State Law now requires anyone buying, selling, or POSSESSING laboratory equipment such as glassware (beakers, bottles, etc.), to obtain a PERMIT from the Dep't. of Public Safety! So, the hundreds of thousands of users of such equipment are affected: schools, manufacturing plants, R & D. operations, hobbyists. Will an army of new "revenuers" be hired to police everyone? Who knows?
My question: Can my wife's measuring cups in our kitchen, also made of Pyrex like beakers, be used as evidence to bust us? After all, can't drugs be cooked in kitchen utensils just as well as in lab equipment?0 -
