I'm a math major, it's 22/7. Who cares how far one carries it out.
My first year of college, Ga Tech (aka North Ave Trade School) we found a guy under his bunk in total dementia. All he could say was "where is the co sign of theta?"
Don't take math too seriously. [xx(]0 -
use it all the time in fabric layout.....[;)] 0 -
Pie are round!
Cornbread are square!

I use it quite often, the first few digits are enough. know your significant figures! 0 -
I like cherry pie, apple pie, blueberry pie and kahlua creme pie. But, mincemeat pie is disgusting. 0 -
I think we should have pie everyday. 0 -
Don't you know? Congress has declared that Pi is = 3. Just like gun control works, taxes are good, and every other insane, illogical thing. 0 -

on a scale of 3 to 3.141592654, I'd rate that a 3.1415926. 0 -

22/7 IS NOT pi. A math major should know that.0 -
I use it several times a year. 0 -
I had it memorized to over 50 decimal places... that was the result of a rather stupid middle school contest with another kid, just between us two.... we got bored when the teacher started blathering on, but he did have a poster on the wall with pi to 50 places.
We'd memorized a few more digits each day trying to outdo the other.... until we finished the poster and had to start looking it up online, that was a very boring semester.
But 355/113 is close enough, 7 digit accuracy with only 6 numbers.
22/7 is 3 digit accuracy with 3 numbers.... stupid and pointless, screw 22/7, just memorize 3.140
