Got a sick kitty....UPDATE

Just took our oldest cat to the vet. He's been trying to vomit for two days but can't get anything up. Vet did an evaluation and took some X-rays and said that the cat's intestines have wrapped over themselves and caused a blockage. Said that there was a possibility that it could be cancer, but he doubted it. Anyway, they were going to do surgery this afternoon, but decided that the cat was somewhat dehydrated so they postponed the surgery until tomorrow. This is kinda depressing....we've had this cat all of his life. He's 13 years old. He's part of the family. Gonna be a long couple of days without him here.

  I lost a dog years ago to that . It's when the stomach turns and cuts off the blood supply . Must be corrected quicky or is fatal .
  
  Glad to hear it wasn't that and your cat should be ok .
  
  We had a stray cat hanging around that shop last week that was very friendly . Got rather worried that it may find some anti-freeze and get sick and die . One of the techs lives on a farm and took it home . Hear it enjoys the "country" life very much now.

  Well, after six days at the Vet, our kitty finally came home today. He's lost about 2-3 pounds, but he seems to be doing well. Only problem now is that he smells like the vet's office...AND IT STINKS. Our other two cats have been stalking around the house growling and hissing since kitty came home. We already gave him a bath, but that didn't help. I don't know what the other two cats are thinking!!!!
