Jack up a rear wheel (or front if front wheel drive), put it in high gear, turn on the ignition, then spin the tire thus starting the engine.
As long as only the battery is defective, this should start the vehicle.
Another piece of common sense and very useful information from me.

Take my portable "Jumpbox" from the trunk and connect it to the battery, start the car, and be on my way[:D] 0 -
Never watched Mcgyver because he was very anti-gun. But to answer your question, I would take my emergency radio with the hand crank
generator on it and with two wires I stripped from the dashboard I would make a connection and crank the radio generator till I charged
the battery till it was strong enough to turn over the engine.0 -

I would use what I learned from reading "The Secret" and, through the power of positive thought, charge my battery by thinking about wonderful uplifting things. 0
