I remember watching the TV show as a little kid. I also remember Richard X. Slattery as the Skipper but not anyone else.

A true classic. Like so many others: High Noon, Gunfight at the OK Corral, Twelve Angry Men, Judgement at Nuremburg, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Citizen Kane, To Kill a Mockingbird, Casablanca....

A great film. I think that the Cagney scene on deck with Jack Lemmon where Lemmon (Pulver) trys to explain why the Capt. has never seen him before, despite Pulver being on board the ship for over a year, is a classic.
