Recoil Pad Recomendations

Need a recoil pad installed.
Looking at a Pachmeyer and I need about 1" added to the length of pull anyway.
It's a Remington 760 with the plastic original pad and I don't like it at all.
How much should I pay for installation?

Any other makers I should consider?

The local 'smith charges $80 for the job- I think he's a bit high.

  Limbsaver makes a great one. Don't know if they make one for the 870.

  $80.00 INCLUDING the recoil pad it;s self? If so, that ain't bad, it should look like a factory job when U get it back. You'll be happy U had it done.

  Topkick. Excellent advice on the Limbsaver pads. They are the new generation of great pads and out preform Pachmayr pads. The limbsaver can be a little harder to install as they are softer but patience is the answer there. Go to the limbaver website and they have a a pile of patterns that you can print off. This will enable to to get the right size pad and not have to remove much material. This is something you can do yourself. We charge $40.00 to fit a pad on a standard job plus the cost of the pad.
