Duke and Its Treatment of Lacross Team
So two days after the rape charge was made against the Duke lacross players, the school president fired the coach and cancelled the teams entire season. I was just wondering why no other school does this when a player is arrested in an off school event or incident. We all know that everyday a football or basketball player is arrested at major universities. Could you imagine if Miami or Texas or USC fired Pete Carrol and cancled the football season because a player got arrested in the off season ? So why was the Duke lacross season cancelled ? LIBERALS who are RACIST and a political correctness lynch mob mentality.

I gotta agree with you Mr. Cool. Duke looks like a bunch of morons. Now they have reinstated the players to the team and school. Yet, there are still charges of kidnapping and sexual assault pending.
Those liberal Duke administrators that are bungling this deal would faint dead away if they knew they were accused of racism, as they believe that they are immune from that disease. They believe that only right wing rednecks could have a lynch mob mentality.0 -
Why would you punish a whole team for one kids mistake. Cancelling a teams season looses a lot of money spent on that team for the year. In the duke case it is different most of the team was at that party doing things that are against civil law and NCAA law 0 -

It's interesting how exculpatory evidence was withheld.......until after the most recent election. Pathetic. Criminal IMHO. The DA ought to be sent packing. How do you withhold evidence that shows none of their DNA was present in the body of the so-called "victim" while the DNA of several other men was indeed present.[xx(] 0 -
PC run amok. Not uncommon on college campi (campuses?). You are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but to some simply being accused (no matter how lacking in credibility the accuser) is grounds for punishment. Very sad.
BTW- The Supreme Court has ruled that schools can take back degrees for pretty much any reason they want. One college revoked a degree awarded a student who committed a murder in his senior year. He met the graduation requirements and wasn't charged until after he'd finished and left the campus, but they took back the degree he'd earned and the SCOTUS backed them. BS as far as I am concerned. Criminal or not he earned the degree and his crime had nothing to do with his coursework.0 -
my bet is the university was surprised that college athletes were NOT guilty of something [:D]
I don't know about Lacrosse but Football and Basketball players act like they own the campus. They are spoiled brats put in the easiest of classes and given free tutors as long as they are a good player [xx(]0 -
