More of our tax dollars at work
Looks like Columbia is paying one third of a billion dollars to have
Congress "educated" on Bogota Colmbia. I wonder what it breaks down
to what each politican gets. All this to keep the "measly" little
five billion dollars we give Columbia to "fight???" drugs there.
Five billion dollars sure would buy a lot of southern border fence
and people to patrol it.
Quote from WND: " According to Justice Department filings, Colombia agreed this month to pay $300,000 to public relations firm Burson-Marsteller - whose president, Mark Penn, is a senior advisor to Sen. Clinton - to help "educate members of the U.S. Congress and other audiences" about the trade deal and secure continued U.S. funding for the $5 billion anti-narcotics program Plan Colombia.

Thanks, my blood pressure was running a bit low.[:(!] 0 -
...I'm lost. How does a PR firm being paid by Columbia to "educate" Congress translate into money in the pockets of our do nothing Congressman?

There is little reason for congress to be educated regarding Colombia or most any other country for that matter. I'd prefer they figure out that laws designed to protect us from ourselves are futile. They did get the message when they tried to outlaw liquor. Too bad they can't see that if laws regarding drugs were repealed that after a short period of adjustment, things would get considerably better. 0
