Don't know, I have looked recently right here on the Broker. Looks like it has doubled in the last year. Bought a 1200 rnd case of South African ball at the Puyallup gun show in Aug. for $270.00. that was up $70.00-$80.00 over a year earlier, and I think it's gone up a lot since then. Good luck.

This question was posted a month or two back- my answer is still the same- join the USMC, become an 0331 and they'll give you all the 7.62 you can shoot- not only free of charge, but they pay you to shoot it- such a deal!!

Ray: You got a good point, but, I'm unwanted. Old (60ish), fat and not running around a track to get in shape for anyone anymore. In my younger days I volunteered for V-Nam, they didn't want me then either. So, ya know any other good sources for 308 ammo?

If you're talking about 7.62 Nato milsurp the supply seems to have dried up. I have been shooting Australian for several years and have but a few hundred rounds left. Haven't seen any of it, or any other for some months now. Don't know whats up here, there should be a lot of this around. When/if it returns I'll buy a bunch again. I reload so I could buy components and get to work, but that's not as convienient as using milsurp for plinking.

Try www.ammoman.com I haven't bought any from there yet, because I'm kinda partial to my Federal Gold Medal Match 168 grain ammo. Expensive stuff, that Federal is.

Get a Dillon and Learn to Reload!

The best ammo is that what you load yerself ...
... plus its good therapy, gives you time to listen to the voices in yer head!

What do you want to feed? J&G (I think) has 400 rounds of indian for $110 or so, not a bad price. And its the old (70s vintage) indian, so its "good". Found some "cavim" Venezualan surplus locally, $45/200 after tax, my FAL likes it fine.

Have "HEARD" the current Indian 308 stuff is pulled & re-assembilied ammo, with a couple of reported KABOOMS already.
Think I would ask about it before buying or just stay away from it.

FWIW, I just read the sales flyer that came today from SOG.
.308 Nato, FMJ, brass case, boxer primed, N/C, on 5 round stripper clips.
    50 round bandolier - $12.95 ea.
    400 round military can - $95.60 ea.
    Plus shipping.

It doesn't say where it was made or who manufactured it.

The above link is from an auction that a friend has going right now. He is a good guy. I don't know how good the price is.
