My 7 month old nephew got his yesterday as well. We would go to hand it to him and he would get this great big smile on his face! It was almost as though he actually knew what he was being handed![:D] I wish I would have taken my camera to get a picture of it because it was really pretty funny![:D]
Also! Sarge 3ad what is it going to take to get you to send me one of those hats?
I collect baseball caps and one of those would look good hanging up with all the others that I got![:D]0 -
Grd you are right Taylor is my oldest shes standing right next to Chelsy look at the smile on her face I do belive she was more excited then Chelsy although Chelsy would not put it down after she got to hold it [:D] 1st thing she asked if it was hers when she grew up and I told her nope its hers now, I wish I would have been faster with the camera when I told her that the look she gave me [:D][:D][:D]
anyways Taylor got her 1st 22 when she was 9 (shes will be 12 next month) and wants a ppink one like this now [:D]I emailed Kasey and will be getting one next month if everything goes as planed [:D][:D][:D]0 -
I am not sure what it is, but show a girl one of those pink guns and they want it![:D]
My daughter had another 22 before she got her pink one. I actually like her other one better as it is an antique (it was made in 1927). But she totally fell in love with the pink crickett!
All of her friends who have seen it also love it!
Now both of my kids are wanting handguns![:D]
So it looks like I am going to have to break down and buy a couple little Ruger 22 wheel guns for them.[;)]0 -

I can't remember the model of the one I looked at.
But it was odd because it was a wheel gun with a saftey on it.
The gun shop in town has one. I'll have to go see what model it is.
I was thinking around christmas.
My son is really bugging me for one now, as his birthday is in 2 weeks.
But I want to give them both at the same time.
And for my daughter I think I will get some custom pink laminate grips made to match her crickett.[:D]0 -

I'll get it figured out.
I got a few months left to get them.
My main requirement is that it has to be single action. This is just for safety untill they both get to know thier way around a hand gun.
I have a little cheep 22 single action (excam) right now that they have both shot a few times. I would look for these but they were put on a banned list in South Carolina. It is not illegal for me to own the one that I got, but they are illegal for a FFL to transfer to me. It has something to do with the melting point of the metal.0 -

GRD...the H&R single action revolvers have a safety and run less than $150 for a new one with two cylinders.
The girls look so happy....its good to see kids in a good home. You must be a great parent (want to keep a 15 yr old for a while....mine is driving me crazy.)
Congrats on the wonderful job you are doing and keep us posted on what happens when you get to take her shooting. Its fun to kids grow up (until about 15 yrs old at least and then it just isn't fair.)0 -

On the revolvers that have a toggle safety I think you are thinking about the Heritage Arms in Florida and they come with the convertable cylinders for 22 LR and Magnum.
They are the only Current revolver that has a toggle safety that I know of. The are also under 150.000
