Id be telling someone its their responsibality to have it cleaned PROFESSIONALLY. Unless hes a friend, then id find a way - I dont know if it will take the coloring off your gun, but try alchol pads, or Goof-off. Id do alchol first.

Try a product called "Oops", inconspicuous spot first of course. I picked up a shotgun cheap that the guys kid had spraypainted camo. Gun was blued with finished wood stock and had no damage done to it by "Oops". I'll see if I have before and after pics.

Have you tried anything yet? I would think that it would come off easily since it should have been dry or almost dry by the time it got to you guns. Normally the over spray/drift will come off easily.

I would try a mild solvent it you have some around or try mineral spirits.

Depending on the paint, one of the best over spray removers is Windex.

    Try some WD-40.

if your guns are oiled, after use, [:)]just use a touch of white spirit & cloth, give a good ol' rub..& oil the things after, or every finger print will show..not nice....[:0]

+1 on that, dad just said.

Steel wool soaked in wd-40. REAL fine steel wool. 0000 steel wool works fine

Hootshoot, Glad it worked. Thanks for the invite. It's been many years since I've been to Utah--rode a bike across country, furthest point was Mexican Hat. Beautiful country, maybe I can return again if I can convince the Mrs.[:)]
