    Boss's wife had some chicks hatch....tried to keep them with mom in the barn in a separate area...no dice and a hawk got them...

    Then a weasel got the rooster....need to get another rooster ...

    Anywho, your chicks are looking good, seems to be a nice area for them right now...toasty warm, which they love...

    Post lots of pics as they grow....they are sooooooo sweet..

    Do you know how to "sex" your chicks while they're still in the "fuzz"? Just pick em up by the skin on the back of their lil heads! (gently) If they pull their feet up tight against their bodys they're pullets. If they "dangle"... Well you know! [:D][:D]

    There are 17 chicks in the pic and only one will be a Rooster.

    Anyone know where the rooster is?

    I am taking a real wild guess here, right off the top of my head, but does it have anything to do with the one that has the red mark on its head?[?][?]
