Computer Question- Need a little Help
I've installed a Sprint AirCard on my IBM Thinkpad and all is well and much faster than my landline connection. I have this one in the office.
Here's the issue.
I also installed the software on my Dell Lattitude at home and put in the card.
It works great for about 5 min then, shuts down my computer totally with only a blip. I tried it a few times and reloaded the software.
What gives?

Bad driver and/or major conflict with something running on the Dell. Good luck tracing that one! 0 -
I had a similar issue with my Verizon aircard, works fine in 2 out of 3 laptops. In the 3rd , I had to disable the modem and network card. The aircard will work as a wireless network card if you have a wireless network at home, Once I disabled them the problem went away. 0 -
Thanks!
I'll try it.0 -
Limited resource IRQ conflict probably...
In the bios, turn off the serial (com) ports -you probably don't use 'em.. Same for parallel port if your printer is network or USB based. If you aren't using your built in modem anymore, disable it as well in hte bios.0 -
I followed your directions and disabled all other connections.
Works great!
