Fox News is Trash
I have been a long time viewer of fox news. however, in the last year I have become sick of them and their trash programming. these are the stories that get the most coverage
# 1 - natalie halloway
# 2 - laci peterson
# 3 - anna nicole
# 4 - teacher sex scandals
now these stories have some legitamite news value...HOWEVER, fox news now covers them EVERYDAY for HOURS and HOURS just repeating worthless rumors and speculation and pandering to a silacious trash news mentality. I now find myself watching CNN more because even if they are left leaning they actually cover some news worthy topics. for instance, i turned on greta van sustren and of course she was covering anna nicole and some stupid meaningless video of anna nicole laying down talking non sense about NOTHING. i am sick of it. so i turned to CNN and they had a good program about animal trafficking in cambodia and vietnam.

this is old news. 0 -
I no longer watch television news. Their distortions and outright lies got to be more than I could stand.
Get my news from local radio, and some internet sites.

I get all my news from accurate sources such as the internet and Dan Rather. 0 -
I think they have gone down the wrong path myself. They are still however one of the only network sources to hear main stream ideals, thoughts, and topics. One of the only network sources to hear anything other than the liberal agenda talking points as if it is news or current events. When I can change the channel from network to network and hear the same exact liberal catch-phrase of the day as all of the talking head pundits must use the same teleprompter or notes is a disgusting reality check of just how liberally biased the media has become.
Journalism is dead. Sorry to make that "breaking news" but there is no longer any journalistic integrity being exerted or in existence in the media any longer. Hell FOX only gives a moderate centrist point of view or does at the very best a 50%/50% liberal garbage/centrist perspective and they get lambasted as being too conservative... What a joke!!! So intellectually dishonest as for anyone making the claim FOX is conservative to forfeit their credibility! If they were at all conservative they wouldn't allow themselves to become trash tv central...
True Conservatism is a mainstream sensible centrist stance. What people don't understand is that by going to the right, we are only trying to get back to the middle American main stream. Conservatism by definition is the antithesis of extremism. That by going conservative we would only be going to the middle at this point. Liberalism is a one way street to despair and despotism and once you embrace even a small part of it you turn your back on the self-evident undeniable truths and American Judeo-Christian value that gave us our freedom and liberties and there is usually no going back without revolt and civil war.
I myself can't wait for America to wake up and fight this culture war by taking up arms and forcibly taking our American culture, religions, freedoms, and liberties back from the elitist liberal socialists that would have us all be their slave labor peasant class. It will come to that, there is no doubt. Whether or not it is in my lifetime is yet to be seen.0 -
The Nimrod is correct, but so is newt. FOX does push the junk news and his 4 points are perfect examples. They see Natalie, Laci, and Anna as "Hot dead babe" stories. Teacher sex scandals don't have to be dead.
One other story that has been pushed by FOX until it became a national story is Illegal Immigration. FOX pushed it when there was no interest. I wonder if FOX saw it as an experiment issue to see how much power and influence over the public than can exert.0 -

They do love missing white girls
They did have a commentator who said "Natalie Halloway is hot!"
I never saw that silly black guy on FOX again.0 -
It's too bad that fox had to fall so far to the right. I used to really liked their "fair and balanced" approach.
Maybe we need a good "libertarian" tv network.

I suppose you think the other channels dont.
Anna was nothing really except a high price call
girl.
I agree that all the news channels are getting way off track.
That has probably more to do with the fact that news sources, being businesses, have to cater to the majority of their clients.
Well, most people are dumb and actually into all this celeb bull.0 -
I don't watch any of the major news channels anymore. I listen to news on my Sirius radio and every now then the internet. 0 -
what is your point? this is not anything news worthy in itself 0 -

Sounds like you just diagnosed yourself.0 -
Oh, sure; fox has gone way down hill, but only very recently - with the introduction of their new red eye and half hour news shows. These shows aren't even near news like, they are more crude comedy talk shows. And of course, deliberately putting ann coulter in front of the camera to grab people's attention.
I generally prefer to watch CNN, but that's not to say they don't have their faults either. Like those freakin' idiots glenn beck and nancy grace....
But the point is... I only watch the news to gather factual information. Some of which is quite obvious... where the channel would in no way benefit from telling or twisting the story. Like this recent thing about the polar bear - making that known to the public isn't going to influence ANYONE to vote for a different president or join the brady campaign.
The media might get criticized less if they just did their job... which is to report the facts. I do not watch the news to gather freakin' opinions... That's for people who are too stupid to make up their own minds.
It's not often that people have alot of good things to say about journalist and news anchors. But even if they just reported what was going on in the world, people would still attack them for focusing too much on negative topics, and using that for some sort of persuasive purpose.
I knew some guy that came back from Iraq not long ago (don't talk to him anymore though), and he said just look how CNN reports that 5 marines were killed by an IED today... but they don't spend the same time highlighting how the military arrested 20 terrorist in Iraq that same day. But may be true, but they tend to flash about the negative stuff more often - or so many people claim.
The media has to draw people's interest somehow, or nobody would watch the news. It would be better if they only provided information that was educational, useful, and informed people about important things. This doesn't always happen... but I'm not as critical of most of the media as many people are.0 -

Last time I checked, she was married to a medical doctor. But hey, maybe things have changed now. Her last name used to be Kendal... now it's Kelly.0
