    Fayetteville is about 8 or 10 degrees warmer than up here in Boone. A lightweight jacket will come in handy during the early morning and late evening. You'll probably be out and about in short sleeves during the midday.

    Those HIGHS seem kinda optimistic for this time of the year, I'd still take a lined windbreaker if I were you. Usually fairly rainy from Sept/Oct til mid-May or so. Also, snow is NOT out of the question about now![}:)]

    just spoke to my nephew in mt airy,weather was good there,got a niece in boone at asu she said the same warmer than usual there should be a good trip for ya DAVE W tell your brother THANKS FOR ME! LOKO [;)][:D]

    Hey, did the Daniel Boone Inn ever re-open? I took the wife and 4 kids up there last time we were at the mountain house and they still had not opened back up. That has got to be the absolute best place to eat in the world since Grandma is gone.

    Hey, did the Daniel Boone Inn ever re-open?
    Yes they have reopened, my brother-in-law had been working there during the upgrade, and it is now up and running.
