Mayor Daley ranting about guns again!
Just when you think you've heard it all....
Was listening to 890 am WLS out of Chicago yesterday like I normally do. News comes on and there's old Dick Daley ranting about guns again! He really sounded like he was going out of his mind. This guy reflects so badly on anybody that would have voted for him, it is pathetic now.
Anyway, he states that 30,000 people a year are killed in the U.S. by gun violence. Can it possibly be that bad?
I don't know where he got this info from but the reporters ate it up like it was Gospel, I'm sure.
He was laughing (like he was out of his mind) and asked what if 30,000 Americans a year were killed in Iraq? Direct quote: "You people want to impeach Bush over Iraq?" "What about the 30,000 a year killed by guns in the US? hahaha" He went on ranting about why anybody would vote for these politicians that allow Chicago's streets to be flooded with guns. (In the mean time, they said their little gun ban package isn't going well in Springfiled)
Bear in mind everything is banned in Chicago from sparklers to sling shots. LET ALONE FIREARMS!!! That's a no brainer, but it doesn't seem to matter.
Kids keep killing kids in there. Another 15 year old just got shot there this morning. No news on his condition.
I think I hate Daley more than anybody else on this Earth and I don't even live there. I just have to hear about him every day. He has NO, I mean ZERO concept that ANYBODY just might think differently than he does! Any opinion but his is flat out WRONG! lol He's such an arrogant SOB.
But dumba$$ Chicagoans keep voting for him. I can't figure it out. Maybe the election in there is rigged by now anyway. He's a good little dictator and wouldn't put it past them.

In 2003 alone, 30,136 Americans died by gunfire: 16,907 in firearm suicides, 11,920 in firearm homicides, 730 in unintentional shootings, and 232 in firearm deaths of unknown intent, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. Nearly three times that number are treated in emergency rooms each year for nonfatal firearm injuries.
As far as I'm concerned, suicides and unintentional doesn't apply to me.
With 300 million people, I'd say these numbers are outstanding, compared to the 40,000 we lose a year to traffic accidents and 400,000 smoking related deaths.0 -

Someone used a 5.7 in a shooting a few days ago.
