They look to have a much better finish than the WASR, but photos can be misleading. I was also wondering if anyone has an AK in 5.45x39 and how they shoot and handle compared to the 7.62x39? This same company has the Romanian for $289 in 5.45 caliber with two mags. That is wholesale but my dealer only tacks on 10% to his cost.

  I saw one in a shop, might have boughtit if they werent asking $450. looked very functional, and was not rough like SAR and WASRs

  Why isn't there a magazine dimple in the receiver?

  The rails are "C" shaped. The lower pertrusion holds the magazine steady and takes the place of the dimple.

  Look wrong to me, guess I have held to many traditional ak's notice all the little differences right off, I couldn't own that would bug me.
