i have never seen such small tips in my life. who makes them and for what use?

yes they go to a propane torch, but 1" big?

maybe a gunsmiths torch to solder sites on and sxs barrels together,butane or propane? Loko[:D] 0 -
maybe for soldering plumbing together. The larger one looks like it is for a propane bottle, but the smaller ones may be for a oxy/acetylene torch. 0 -
I think my dad has some that small I have to ask.

Yep Jeweler's torch tips!! I have one made by Smith!!!! Just about that size 0 -
Our weld supply has them half that size, I mean Micro! the tips are about the size of a pin head. They run on a small butane bottle. 0 -

Smith torch would be my guess also.0 -
That top one is for an air-acetylene torch, my grandad used one for repairing radiators. I've got it now, along with six or so different size tips.
Not sure on the other two, maybe a jewlers torch but they look to big for that. The tips for mine are about the same diameter as a large darning needle.0 -
ah ha! radiators repair! dad did that all the time! bingo! but now, if someone can post a pic of the bottle and or the hose it attaches to, i can make a match of the stuff in the shop. thanks![:)] 0 -
I'll try to make time tommorow to take a pic of mine. Basicaly it's an acetylene cylinder with a valve, hose and handle for the tips. The holes in the tip nut are to allow air to mix with the gas, hense air acetylene. 0
