Texans! (Get together DFW area?)
Mateo and I have swapped an email or two and we were wondering if anyone else would be interested in a Dallas/Ft. Worth area get together?
No idea when, but I guess whenever the most people could sit down and say hello to each other, and also no idea where, but I guess wherever teh most people could meet up easiest. Maybe there's a big gunshow coming up. I have met lots of people from GB and some of the other gun boards and it's always been fun. Maybe we could even have a guest of honor, non other than David Nunn!
What do you think?

Sig- If you have a layover for a few hours and I'm not traveling myself I would be happy to meet up with you at the airport. I just did that last saturday morning with a friend of mine who was just passing through.0 -

Hmmmmm Houston to Dallas... That's like driving through 3 regular States. A gun show or competition or free drinks would make it worth the drive. 0 -
I've wanted to see the Dallas gun show. I would make the drive for meeting at the show and having dinner afterwards.
Not sure if inviting David is a good idea, though. He might give us all speeding tickets. [:D]

Given reasonable traffic, I can be in the eastern city limit of Dallas in about an hour. I have attended one GB get-together with a bunch of folks in Fort Worth, and a smaller one with just me, Dawnie and one member in Dallas. We would welcome the opportunity to attend another. Too far for me. But I was thinking that maybe LOKO383 and I could do one of these thingys in Black Lick Ohio. I believe there are 2 bars and two houses there as I recall.... Lets see the Mexican family next door has 22 people living there... So given that there are two houses that means that if the owners cooperate with or without force we should be able to handle 44 guests..... 0 -

pfft! bring the guns! you can go to a range and check each other's out. at one time I could have brought 2 ar-15's, sp-1, ak-47, 2 sks's with different stocks, HK91 clone (all with or without some interesting scopes), glock 27 and a derringer for you to check out. but, I'm not there anymore.

Dave thought you fell off the edge of the earth. Ive been really busy(trying to get my A&P license). today is my last step. Sunday DeSoto Gun club is having a doubles marathon. 250 pair, 500 birds. I will probably go and shoot a few hundred. The offer is still there if you want to go check out the two gunclubs I have mentioned in the E-mails.
Let me know also when the get together is.
