Black Bear Flashllights kills surefire or streamli

Must better that surefire or streamlight. Rechargeable. Extremely bright. For the price and cost of batteries, it's a no brainer. A little pricey. Note the fire danger and watch the video before buying.

This clearly appears to be a commercial advertisement prohibited by the posting guidelines.

    Putting Mag-Lights in the picture and a disclaimer is not the way to instill confidence in teddy-bear flashlights or what ever the name is.

    Are they selling mag-lights with rechargeable batteries and a new lens ring?

    Don't work for them. Came highly recommended from WarriorTalk. Purchased one and have been very happy.

    It's a mom and pop operation, figuratively speaking, and thought about giving it a try.

    I have no financial interest at all other than being a happy customer.

    Sorry to disappoint you and not meant to be taken the wrong way. Just someone giving his opinion.

    Meant to post it under the other discussion about flashlight, but I screwed up. Chalk it up to being new.

    Effectively, it's a mag lite with the guts redone and works fairly well. It does get very, very hot.

    Agree, the website needs to be more user friendly. But I think they are more into the production of the product vs. the website at this point.

    I give them +1. Sure save alot of money on not having to buy all those lithium batteries if you want power. Just another option for folks to consider.[8D]

    Black Bear Flashlights are not made, licensed, endorsed, approved or recommended by Mag Instrument, Inc.

    On second thought I wonder if Black Bear has ever heard of such a thing called Copyright laws if they have I wonder if MagLite gave them permission to use theirs?

    Everything on that web site has been taken directly from MagLite advertising.

    Sorry but I would not touch a Black Bear Flashlight if you gave it to me. Be like down loading free music only to be charged with using copy written material after the fact.

    My maglight works very well, does not get very hot, offers no fire danger, works well with ultraviolet LED's for scorpion hunting, is not pricey. Hmmmm, I think only an idiot would want to improve to a costly light that gets hot, works fairly well, and might cause a fire.

    crap. what is the motivation to rework a mag lite. its fine the way it is.

    get very, very hot? brilliant. a flashlight that sets thing on fire

    not a single picture of their product makes me scream SCAM!!!!!

    no noted guarantee. sure fire has a life time guarantee. mag lifetime warranty. streamlight = lifetime.

    And they don't get hot, they aren't someone else's design reworked...man, if you're happy with it, good for you. I'll stick to my Z2 & Aviator...

    I am a Surefire fan and own several. If you are looking for a cheep, compact, bright flashlight their G2 series is the way to go.

    I dont know about your lights but my Aviator gets warm, my 60 lumen lights get pretty warm, and my 9 volt lights get very hot. One of my older Surefires (before they were Surefire) got hot enough to melt through the double nylon case, and new one has a warning "caution hot" on the bezel.

    Some batteries will cause the flashlight to get hot and may explode, I forgot which ones Alakine or others be careful and don't mix different kinds of batterys.

    After been in several major forums for three years (the time I own a computer) and posting about lights,answering questions and building my Borealis light, I thought everybody knew me already.

    I am Black Bear/Black Bwear 84 in most forums, the change to Watchmaker come about because after retiring from watch making I had more time to visit the forums, BUT I found some others black bears.

    So to avoid confusion I changed my handle to watchmaker.

    Nothing dishonest about that.

    Mr. Orange wasted a lot of time quoting from the manual of the Bear Cub, I have a new charger for it that will not need a rubber band to hold the batteries in place, it sound like nitpicking to me, trying to discredit the light that you don't know anything about.

    The thread "Lights for CCW and law enforcement" is new in this forum but have a year in others forums, with a LOT more reviews posted.
    If some members are interested in lights, you will find a LOT of information about them in my thread, if you are not interested stop attacking my person and my lights of which you don't know nothing about.

    Of course if I am going to review somebody elses lights, I am going to review my own Borealis or Bear Cub or other lights that I do with my own two hands.
    You you want to call my reviews SPAM or free advertising, it should apply for all the lights I am reviewing, Surefire, Fenix, RayOVac, Maglites and others benefit from the same "free advertisement".

    I know they call them "discussion forums" but I refuse to waste my time discussing anything when I can use my time more profitable, it seems that are a lot of people here that have nothing better to do, than to attack a new member.

    My rechargable Mag-lite melted through the seat of my pickup truck one night while I was assisting with a wreck, tossed it in the seat while I was digging out some road flares and the next thing I know I have a large hole in the back of my seat. It was quite comical after the fact though. And Heck, my little G2 Surefire catches stuff on fire!

    I got an Inova T4, its rechargeable, and I don't have to buy replacement bulbs of any kind. Might have to get a new battery after I charge it a thousand times or so, time will tell.
