My new Muzzle Stuffer, or My Custom .45 flintlock
Well I thought I had taken more pics but apparently I didn't since I've been in a half stupor for the last few days with a bad head cold I only have this pic for now, will update with more if ya want just wanted to share a little bit of my joy with you.
Its basically done, other than adjusting the triggers again and probably making a solid brass ramrod. Hasn't yet been shot, but hope to once I feel better and adjust the triggers right now its not engaging properly pretty sure my overengagment screw is self tightening on me, so had to go buy some locktite.

otherwise it would be a side scrolling nightmare, note this is a fudging longun I am sure not the longest but its now officially the longest I own.
I built from one of the worst kits you will ever see, the stock was apparently a throw away and so was the barrel, with gauges so deep some are still in the barrel but hidden where you wont likely notice, the stock had 1/4inch more wood on the left side than on the right, the cheek rest grove has a deep gouge toward the back, will have to show a pic of that I fixed it to an extent but didn't wanna go to deep to ruin the look, think it turned out ok though.
Barrel had to be dropped 1/4 inch for the touch hole to line up properly I doubt most kits leave that much you have to do and a bunch of other really stupid mistakes in manufacturer, dunno if you can tell but the patch box was routered out to big, theres gapes all around the places where I fit it are perfect, I cant add wood very easily where they took to much out.
Anyhow it turned out good and I like it so that's all that really matters, the barrel is browned with a wax seal. Wood is a Dutch Oil mix of cherry and another color and then sealed with wax. All hardware is flush you cant feel seams insept where the factory screwed up there are gaps. I left a few small gaps but nothing compared to what the factory did.

I have to look threw my papers, I have the paperwork for it around here somewhere, I don't recal what it was specified as and only markings were the .45 on the barrel. Believe it was a place out of Southern Wisconsin, river something or other, I bought the kit cus it was cheep I found out why it was cheep heh...
I will look later today and see if I can find the info.
If I was to do it again I would because I was broke and I did end up with a nice gun for cheep but a hell of a lot more work than it should have been and it could have been better. But for the price I gues im not going to complain a whole lot. I wouldent buy from that company again thow, rather pay a little bit more and get a quality piece to start than have to work really hard to get a decent piece.
I used Laurel Mountain Forge barrel brown & degreeser on the barrel if I miss read your question and thats what you were asking.0
