How is / was your day

My school, never letting us talk about God, or anything, nothing at all, actually sang the national anthem the principle said what bush said that day, 9/11... followed by a moment of silence.

Safe to say, my day went pretty good. How was yours?

    Dont have hogs, or homework.

    Used'ta live on a farm and had some hogs, but theys got slaughtered and we moved.

    Not so good.
    I went to the range to test three AR uppers using a 15x Unertl in a fixture adapting it to the ARs.
    1) it started raining pretty good.
    2) I forgot an allen wrench to mount the offset blocks to two flattops.
    3) My carefully adjusted target trigger doubled.
    4) The one upper I was able to shoot, albeit single shot, shot badly.
    A lively B.S. session made the trip worthwhile.

    Not too great.

    A beautiful day outside, fall is around the corner.

    I got to bed late last night, had to get up early for a HazMat drill. Was the backup entry team and had all kinds of curveballs thrown at us. Flat wore me out. Then a few hours at the Sportsman's Warehouse, then a softball game tonight, the other team had to forfeit.

    Not bad. Went to physical therapy this morning. Nice massage and work-out. Went exploring at an abandoned insane asylum. That wasn't too great. Since I was there last, most of the buildings have been re-habbed for small business'. Came home and shot My Star PD in .45, my FAL and two CZ 52 pistols. Rotting tomatoes and giant cukes for targets. Ran a couple mags through the AR just for good measure. Life is good.

    Well, let's see:

    1) Wife and I took the car over to Shreveport early this morning for its 60K mile service and on the way had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. - GOOD[:)]

    2) After breakfast we took the car to the dealership. Quoted $900 + 6 hours for the 60K service. - NOT GOOD[:(]

    3) Took the loaner car and went shopping at the Bass Pro Shops (for me) and the Louisiana Boardwalk (for my wife). - PRETTY GOOD[8D]

    4) Finished shopping and drove over to Arkansas to visit a friend. - GOOD[:)]

    5) On the drive to Arkansas we saw a dead buck on the side of the road. - BAD[:(]

    6) As we approached our friend's house we saw a doe and its fawn beside the road. - GOOD[:)]

    7) Had a great visit with our friend. - GREAT[:)][:)]

    8) Drove back to Shreveport to pick up our car, it only needed servicing - GOOD[:)], and paid the bill - AGAIN, BAD.[:(]

    9) Drove back over to the Louisiana Boardwalk and had dinner at The Salt Grass Steakhouse. - VERY GOOD[:)][:)]

    10) Had an uneventful, but stuffed drive back home. - VERY GOOD[:)][:)]

    11) Turned on the computer to see how the stock market did today and saw that our earnings for the day paid for all of the expenditures with a lot left over. - PRICELESS[:p]


    I would say on average it was a very nice day, thanks for asking![:D][8D]

    Well Jacob, My wife and I had some family and friends over to celebrate my one and only grandsons birthday. He is 3 today. So, you can say we had a excellent day and thank you for asking.
