    lmao that's funny.

    I'm only just getting into it. When you said 'rocker,' I thought: but I'm not a rock-n-roll dude. And when you asked about Aquamarine I thought, "what the hell?"

    Anyway, I don't have an answer today. But I'm interested enough that I'll look into it and let you know within a week if I find an answer.

    Here's another one for you. Tanzanite. I think thats how you spell it.

    By the way Spurg, if you haven't gotten it already, you got mail.

    I found references to aquamarines at the summit of Mt. Antero in the Sawatch Range in central Colorado (Wikipedia...sounds like some kind of a quest to get them);

    at a mine (along with a bunch of other gem types) in NC that looks real cheesy....I bet some searching would turn up better options nearby;

    And at some 'closed to the public' location in MA.

    It seems most aquamarines in this country are on the east coast. Globally, your best bets are Brazil and Sri Lanka.

    I'd never heard of tanzanite before you mentioned it. It was discovered in 1967 in Tanzania by Masai tribesmen. The name Tanzanite was a trade name marketed by Tiffany's. It is only known to occur in Tanzania. (That info from Wikipedia).

    Are you planning a mining expedition?
