I got home from work today and I see my son is wearing a paper hat. So I ask him... "Oh, were you studying cowboys today?
Son: "No, it's a sombrero."
Me: "Oh, what else did you make today in school?"
Son: " A Mexican flag because it is Cinco de Mayo."
At this point, I'm pi$$ed. Our public schools are indoctrinating our children into the New Order. This New Order has blurred borders. Why the heck are we teaching our kids about Mexican holidays?! This is AMERICA, damnit![:(!]
My school board trustees will be getting calls tomorrow![:(!]0 -

i remember...
i was asleep at the time. i got a call frm my sister telling me to turn on the tv. as i watched i was horrified. my only thought was calling my fiance to see if she was ok. then i called my parents. i shook with anger. stubbed my toe on the coffeetable. i cried. i remember all too well.....0 -
I remember also,.......I was pulling into a convienience store for my second cup of Java, and had talk radio on. I had heard about the first plane, and the suggestion that it was a small private plane, and had kind of let it go.
When the second hit,.......I knew something was wrong. I went to one of my wholesalers, and we had the TV on there. Then the Pentagon, was hit.
It was surreal to me,.........and still is to this day, when I remember it.
We accomplished nothing that day, workwise,.......but the "hatred",.......I, and the others that were around me that day, are with you!0 -
I had to stop watching those types of shows because everytime I watched one my blood would boil so much I couldn't sleep that night. 0 -
i was in school, just happened to be at lunch time i was heading to mr morrows classroom because he always had the TV on during lunch, walked in and he explained what happened to me. 0 -
I was in a safety meeting at work.When the guy told me about it I told him he was full of scht,Diddnt believe him.[:(] 0 -
I vividly remember where I was and what I did the first few hours after it happened.....I have to be careful as my blood pressure goes crazy when I think about it. 0 -
I happened to have the TV on, and watched the entire thing, live. I was literally stunned. My brain wouldn't work right.
Then I was sickened.
Then I was furious.
I needed to DO something. But I couldn't.
Son Doug II was sent to NYC at once, 'cause he was a WMD expert.
Son Dave's carrier started flying round-the-clock top cover over the West Coast.
Son Darren was put on alert.
Son Steve was put on stand-by, by his guard unit.
And I was twiddling my damned thumbs.
For anyone who remembers, how could we possibly do anything but eradicate the vermin that did this ??
For those that don't - watch everything you can about this crime, and try to understand the shock and fury we all felt. And vow to remain ever vigilant.
Pray for the Americans who lost their lives there, and for all the Men who have protected and defended our Country - many, many giving their lives so that you may live as you do.

My Academy Classmate, Gil Granados, was in one of those towers...
What burns me even more than just the hideousness of the attacks was that our media DIDN'T show ANY of the folks jumping - they chose to edit the news right out of the news. They didn't want a blood lust to build up in Americans. They still to this day try to limit the showing of the sorry/slanted coverage they did produce..
The attack and the fall of the Towers and the Pentagon should be shown every day, along with each and every tape we have of the beheadings, till the Americans RISE UP and start Screaming for Justice!

I was operating setting up press brake for D10 dynamo burger king unit scroll sides listening to John boy, and Billy on the big show when the first plane hit. We all thought it was a terrible accident. I was operating the press brake when the second plane hit, still listening to the John boy, and Billy, . It became apparent this was no accident. I was posting on an community board at the time, when all the sudden, there were a bunch of messages to turn on the TV now.
I was telecommuting at the time... I had appointments that day and cancelled them all, which was fine by every one of my clients, as they were stuck watching TV as well.0 -
I don't need to watch it anymore. I remember the entire day, vividly. I remember most of what I was doing, where I went, where I ate, on 9/10/01.
I saved a local paper from 9/13/01. The large headline reads: Hope Amid Horror, with a picture of Bush and Rumsfeldt walking, with the Pentagon in the background.0 -
I was working outside, in and out of the car. I normally had the radio on but this day I didn't and I remember thinking to myself, "I wonder why I haven't turned the radio on yet." I turned on 720 am WGN Chicago around 7:30. They were running some goofy story about Michael Jordan on the news.
No joke, they were even surprised that that's what they were talking about and mentioned that it must be a very slow news day.
A little later I started hearing the events live as they unfolded on the radio. When the first tower collapsed, I was driving in the car and I saw it for the first time on a tv that had been temporarily set up in a McDonald's in Rockford. That was a tough work day.0
