History Channel oopsie

pretty amateurish mistake actually.
They are showing a program about military helicopters and start talking about the CH-47 Chinook.
Can anyone guess what is the next thing I see?
that's right, footage of a CH-46 Sea Knight taking off from some amphib-warfare ship (LHA? LHD?)
Note that they are still talking about the Chinook, and later show footage of Chinooks flying around, which obviously look different from a CH-46.

What happened to you History Channel? you used to be reputable [:(]

    They put those shows together using stock footage from a library. You'd be surprised at how few "experts" are actually involved. Generally a writer who is supposed to know what he's talking about writes a script and sends it in to the production dept to do the voiceovers and then integrate stock footage with the narrater. That's why the video doesnt exactly match the narrater's script.

    One of the few TV stations I watch. Generally they are somewhere around accurate, though I've "caught" them in many a mistake, some of them major. Hughbetcha is right, they're not all true "experts", and though not immediately apparent, they do have an "agenda".

    Speaking of "an agenda" I saw a History Channel episode on Hollywood during WWII that seemed like it was out to destroy the reputation of John Wayne. The show was really sticking it to the Duke for not enlisting, for getting a marriage deferment and then getting divorced right after the war. It might have been true but the way they laid it out it made him look pretty bad.
