... I don't see a need for some of the firearms that are out there today, but I don't go spouting off about them and not knowing what I am speaking about. If I don't like the looks of a particular weapon...I don't buy it! How anyone can make a jerk out themself so fast is beyong me.
If a group wants to shoot a 1000 yds with a .50 cal rifle...so be it! If a group wants to hunt with a AR15 and it is legal to do so in their state, why not? It's not legal to hunt with semi's here in PA, but that is not to say that I don't own or enjoy shooting the AR15.
These "black rifles" as some call them, there is nothing different about them except looks and possibly caliber than those of semi-autos made by Remington, Winchester, Browning and the other companies.
Our sport of hunting is governed by the state regulations. I think that those men and women have the right to pursue their sport according to those laws regardless of what their equipment looks like.

    Peace, happiness and chocolate cake,
    Moose

It doesn't matter if I or anyone else accepts his apology.
The damage he has done to the firearms industry is irreversible and therefore of no consequence.

Reguardless of his opinion (and I agree, he's still not getting it), no matter what, if he had done any reading at all in those hunting magazines or online, he would have realized how quickly the antis will use any quote from anybody in his position, that would serve their purpose. In other words, he should have immediately realized how much damage that article could cause in this day and age. Reguardless of anything else.
