So basically, you're proposing a blind faith in actions of police. The only reason I think so many people are so quick to dismiss any wrongdoing by police is that there has never been any sort of open police state in the US, the state it is in now doesn't count yet, when there'll be some sort of "secret police" snatching people off and sending them to gulags, then you'll know you've reached that point, maybe even realize that this exact blind faith has led to it.

Your attempt to radicalize opinion on this forum is energy mis-spent.

I suggest that you take the time to really analyze the things you have been saying.

Dang, russian..The man did good. He stopped a gunman, and did it without seven of his fellow officers shooting two hundred rounds up and down the street, killing kids and passersby. Give it a break. The cop deserves a medal.

My original statement is based on the premise that the police report is true. Scheduling a "round table discussion" at this point is a waste.

I have no problem with "Calumet Area detectives are investigating." - After the investigation would be the time to determine if further action/discussion is needed.

Anyone that has lived there would most likely agree.

...It's amazing that people have gotten so sensitive for the well being of slimebags. IA will take care of the matter, probably along with the FBI. The liberal mind set of "touchy-feely" is dissgusting and dangerous.

If it went down anywhere close to the story version, then it had a happy ending.

    "Round Table Discussions" are so....PBS.

What the heck is a round table discussion to review an officer's lethal shooting? Is that like an investigation in ice creamville?

A buck for a bullet, or a couple thousand dollars for court fees, and keeping the idiot alive in jail until he goes to prison, then a couple more thousand to keep him alive until his sentence is served.

I'd say a buck for the bullet is less expensive. If the idiot charged the officer with a weapon after being order to drop it, he deserved it. The cop didn't know what the idiot was going to do.

But there's no more guns in Chicago, They all got turned in a few weeks ago for those $100 dollar credit cards!

Seriously though things are starting to get tense in that town and Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton seem to be getting the folk all riled up in each ones effort to get headlines for themselves. Al's moving into Chicago and trying to claim some territory.

I heard about this same thing down in fLORIDA a few weeks ago. Maybe it was a few days ago but anyways, this guy brings in a missile launcher to get some free sneakers. He said he found it in a shed of a house he was renovating or something.

Wish I could find the article.

Non the less, I would like to see how many guns were turned in seeing as how someone with a illegal gun most likely knows someone in Chicago that would pay more than one hundred dollars for a pipe

Sounds close to my neck of the woods. The south side of Chicago is the armpit of America. Just came out too that we have the most blacks living in Cook County, IL than anywhere else in the country.
