What kind of work do you like?

The United States Post Office is a good place to work.

I just came from my local post office and there was a sign to hire a driver/carrier for 17.50 an hour to start.

Don't get fired and you wouldn't have to find a new job.

MVP, I saw that in my P.O. too. I think that is for rural mail carriers, use your own car, gas, no benefits. I might be wrong, but they can't keep anybody here for that kind of money. You're like a contractor except you can't negotiate price.

Zulu - I am being serious. Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

P.S. the company that I work for has a two-letter name, makes a lot of things that you can find in the home or in a power plant and was founded by Thomas Edison.

All it said on the sign was you must be 18 years old or older with a clean driving record.

    jimdeere-
I think you are right about the rural carrier. I remember seeing that on the sign.

I am in Atlanta with the Energy guys. They are really looking for people in Greensboro, NC right now and we always have openings at the power plants that we operate. BTW, military is a big plus with our company (unlike some others).

You should be finding a career not a job at this point in your life. Why not put the GI bill to good use and go to a community college?

  • ObiWan
I second college...if you don't have a wife....git yer rear in school for a fancy piece of paper that will in turn let you have a gun collection like mateomasfeo.
