I keep seeing these things in my house april-september (besides all the other critters I share my house with) it's not a centipede, it's not a millipede, so I figured I'd take a pic next time I saw one... didn't take long! what is it?!? (besides creepy crawly)

Do a Wikipedia search on it...that's gross. I'd throw one of my combat boots at it if I saw one.
Edit: what geographic region do you live in?0 -

It's creepy [:)] But i think you could sell them to kids like wicked pets.Unless they're poisonous.
Seriously maybe u could collect some eggs from that creature and send some over to me.0 -
By god I live in the country and will stand here now and declare that that there is a bug. Damn straight 0 -
That there is what you would call a House centipede. 0 -
I'm stumped![xx(] 0 -
I don't know if it's poisonous or not, wikipedia says centipedes have 4 sets of poisonous jaws, but it's not a centipede.... looking under "icky", "horrid", or "disgusting" didn't bring anything up either! I don't know what it is. 0 -
doesn't centi- have something to do with the pairs of legs and it has 10 pair right?, Loko[:D] 0 -
search House Centipede.Yes they are poisonous, bites are like a bee sting. 0 -
Quick Henry the Flit ! 0 -

??? flit? 0 -
House centipede....we've got 'em too. They are harmless to humans and pets. They outside under the bark of evergreens, etc and come in the house to hunt for food (spiders). They're quick suckers. I can say I used to kill them as fast as I saw them and then I researched it figured I'd start leaving them be since we very seldom see a spider in the house. [;)] I've never had one crawl on me, the wife or the kids but it is startling to catch a big one crawling on the wall out of the corner of your eye! 0 -
I'd call it "bait". 0 -
dont know but its cool looking 0 -
ok, I saw the wiki on house centipedes. that's what it is by golly. thanks! 0 -
Reminds me of this huge hairy spider that used to sleep on the wall in my toilett behind the toilettchair in the evenings &nights when i were in Southern Philippines 3 years ago.It were almost like a housepet.Unfortunately it were eventually cruched when the new sink fell down on it one day.I even have the "pet" on video [:)][:D] 0 -
Looks like some cross between a centepede(sp?) and those 'walking stick' bugs russel crowe saw on master and commander.
However it looks more like those two headed bugs on "evoultion" that orlando jones said 'is it coming or going?'.0 -
It looks like the old "silverfish" bugs that you see on the floor! 0 -
naah, I saw a sliverfish last night, this is something ele. this thing is way bigger, the body is about 1-1/2". it would probably eat a silverfish. 0 -
Also called a wind centipede, they have 15 pairs of legs, but it sure looks like more. They are creepy, but harmless to humans and housepets as scrumpyjack said. 0 -
Did you try to fry it and make a pan gravy? 0 -
????? with a bug?? you must be kidding

[8D]-You guys, obviously don't know the "KORAN"--
--Our CIA would classify that as "Of Iranian Origin"--
--[:p][:p]--JIMBO0 -
round here we always called them "thousandleggers"
cant confirm what they eat or if poisonous, but i can tell you the larger ones do have a wicked bite.
we get some as long as 3 inches or so0 -
Better call ORKIN! 0
