after 22 years of liveing with this old gun-nut, the daughter finally wanted to go shooting...
after going through a .22, 9mm, and .38 in the pistol catagory, she tried out the a.k., carcano and mosin.
her big comment was "i want one" "which one"


"any of em!"

guess another family member will be saveing for gun shows and ammo now!

  My oldest niece was that way. When she was growing up, she was afraid to touch a gun. When she was about 21, I got her to go to the range. I got her started on a 22 revolver and within an hour she wanted to know if I had anything bigger she could try. On the other hand, her brother has been a gun nut from the time he could walk. He talked his father into getting him a 22 Ruger target pistol when he was 12. I always know what to buy him for Christmas and birthdays. Ammo!

  All my Boys started shooting at about 10, and 3 of the four are enthusiasts. The oldest likes them, but has higher priorites.
  
  Oldest Daughter, Andrea(24), started at 13 and still likes to shoot, but doesn't own any.
  
  Youngest Daughter, Deanna(17), started collecting guns and knives when she was 6. When she found out at about 14, that she couldn't get a CCW til she is 21, she started Karate, is now a 2nd Degree Brown Belt, with the next step being Black Belt in about 6 months to a year.
  
  I have now learned about unintended consequences.

  Doug, my daughter has been hording knives and swords, throwing spikes and stars, and been my regular quarter staff partner since she was about 10. at 5-6 she would come in the house covered with grease and tell mom, "i was helping dad with the motorcycles!"
  at about 11 or 12 she k-o'd a 17 yr old boy...yes she did give him fair warning, and the parents laughed at him for weeks!
  for some reason it just took a while for her to get to the guns lol
  she can also handle an 80 lb pack on her own!
