Franchi I 12 vs. Stoeger 2000

Anyone have any experience with either of these two guns? Which one is a better gun in your opinion? Thanks in advance! [?][?]

I am considering a Stoeger 2000. I want a cheap auto that I can beat the tar out of and not care about. I have a beautiful Beretta that I won't take into the field because I don't want to ruin it. I wish the 2000 came in 20 gauge, but I can make do with a 12. Supposedly they are good quality, but I wouldn't mind hearing some other peoples opinions.

I have the Benelli Super Black Eagle, 3?" semiauto - with the Benelli Inertia system.
That works absolutely wonderful.

The Stoeger 2000 is built on that very same system.

But I don't know the Franchi.. I just know from experience, that the Franchi SPAS12 was overly complicated.
But that's about it, on my Franchi experience.

But since the Stoeger is built on the patented Benelli Inertia System - I certainly wouldn't hesitate buying that one.

Except I want the real deal - and want a Benelli.

As Nanoq said, the Stoger is based on the Benelli system. The Franchi on the other hand is based on the same system as the Beretta Urika, both are great guns and you will not go wrong with eather one.

gun tests had a article ranking the stoeger pretty good. personally with the chocktubes you get for under 550.00 with tax in my area it is worth a try.

I've had to work on ALOT of Stoegers, not Franchi. Mostly ill-fitting parts, don't know what them Turks were smokin'.[;)]
