    9mm recoil is wimpy. if there was a .25 ACP-size gun shooting a 9mm, recoil would be good and strong, about as much as you could handle.

    because it's fun to shoot a gun with lots of recoil

    that would be something worth having, wouldn't it!

    keep on guessing, you'll get it right some day.

    A 9mm is fine for paper punching, but is hopelessly ineffective as a defensive round. Get a cheap 9mm and burn up all of the cheap ammo you can get, but have a good .40 S&W for serious encounters.

    old fool, great advice, ill satisfy my need for a new handgun with a 9mm glock, and then bank some more money and get the .40 glock later!

    Well, how bout a S&W M&P in .45 ACP?

    Better ergonomics and trigger than a Glock 21 IMHO

    45 ACP better round than 40S&W IMHO

    Downside, the Smith holds 10 vs. 13 in the Glock 21

    No fan of 40, but I see where you guys are coming from re: 9mm
