Candidates
Its never made any sense to me, having political parties. Ive only been able to vote for 2 years now but even before that i never understood it. Why dont people just vote for the best guy?

one reason to have parties or to join a party is for the primaries. without primaries i dont know how america would choose candidates to ultimatley vote for in the electoral college process. 0 -

In Washington state both parties have said they will not honor the primary election results and instead will hold a caucus to elect THEIR candidate.
Why hold a primary if it doesn't count?
