Ladyhunter..Thank you right back, and realize that we need you also. After all, if it wasn't for the worth while wonderful members of our families and our loving friends..Why would we do it?

Thanks for your kind post Ladyhunter.Back in 1990, my military time was about to end and i had a December wedding planned.Orders were given to our Combat Engineer Battalion to deploy to Saudi for Desert Shield/Storm.My fiance refused to marry, afraid of what might happen to me.I was devastated.A good ending though, my girl waited for me,been married 16 years! Thanks for your Support!

As a veteran, thank you. But I am retired now, please keep all of your prayers and efforts focused on the troops in the middle east, they really need it right about now. I am hoping that everyone of them come home soon to stay.

Thank you ma'am. Knowing our fellow Americans slept safely was reason enough to do it.

Thank you Ladyhunter and others who thanked veterans. I'm a Vietnam vet and my oldest son is an Iraq vet. We both say thanks. Lets give a thanks to the ones who are serving in Iraq now, have already, and will in the future. My niece's husband is currently in Iraq for his second tour.

Thank you for the kind words Ladyhunter. I'm a retired vet. It's not too often someone shares the burden of what our soldiers and veterans have gone through to keep us safe. The supreme sacrifice has been given by many and I share with you the grief of so many. I still have the gold star that Mom used to hang in our window from my brother at Guadalcanal. It's a little tattered from age, but the sacrifice is never fogotten
    God Bless
