    SF,

    Don't worry.

First of all, you got her to the hospital in time. She'll be fine. Anemia is rather common in women and is very, VERY treatable. Chest pains and shortness of breath could have been a hell of a lot worse - trust me.

And unlike some more serious conditions, anemia will likely just entail a change in diet and maybe some iron supplements.

Thank God it wasn't more serious and that you got her into good hands ASAP. My prayers are with you both, but mostly in thanks that it was not something more serious. I know it must've been a big scare for you and it's certainly nothing to laugh off, but in the bigger scheme of things it is fortunate it was this rather than something else.

God be with you two. He'll look out for you.

I don't really pray but you do have my good wishes.

Like EMM said anemia or various degrees is fairly common for women.
Our anatomy/phisiology professor pretty much said that more than likely half the girls in the class are borderline anemic.
Women need significant iron intake as compared to men due to that whole bleeding once a month thing. Most just don't get enough iron.
