Its been a few months since I have came back from vacation. had a 1k saved for my next gun buy. wife had a different plan. Came home from work and she just got back from home-depot. New bathroom sink, vanity, faucet[:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!]

I usually lose the argument when trying to choose a gun over a home improvement project. Although, we had extra money come in a few months ago and I did get an AK with some of it. No matter what, my bonus money every winter goes to the gun of my choice. If I keep in the 2-3 guns per year category I'm pretty happy! 0 -
According to the appraiser that looked at my house this morning, the only home improvement projects that ever pay out are those that add square footage above grade. Remodel the kitchen and bathrooms, and paint all you want, but you'll do well to recover 10% of your investment if you sell.
Firearms, on the other hand, don't depreciate (and generally appreciate) when they're purchased at a good price, and are maintained properly. You weren't saving for a firearms purchase; you were preparing for your future together.0 -

All I can say is that I would be one MAD SOB and there would be HELL to pay. IMO taking your money that she knows was saved for a reason and spending on something else is outright THEFT.
If you can't trust her w/your money, I wonder what other ways she's untrustworthy. And if you don't have trust in your marriage, you don't have jack $#it.

my wife loves her....if she is still alive. I will be completeing a complete, and I mean a frickin' complete remodel of a bathroom in two weeks. Tore it down to bare studs and floor joists, ceiling joists. Moved every electrical connection and water pipe....tore out a deviding wall.....put in new floor tile....tiled around the new whirlpool tub....converted an antique marble top dresser into a vanity with a vessel type sink.....took a while to get where it's at and she wanted finished in a weekeng....Sheeeedh!
