Today Once Upon a Time in the West (Italian: C'era una volta il West) is a 1968 epic spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Leone. The film stars Henry Fonda cast against type as the villain Frank, Charles Bronson as his nemesis "Harmonica", Jason Robards as the bandit Cheyenne and Claudia Cardinale as Jill, a newly-widowed homesteader with a past as a prostitute. The screenplay was written by Leone and Sergio Donati, from a story devised by Leone, Bernardo Bertolucci, and Dario Argento. The widescreen cinematography was by Tonino Delli Colli, and Ennio Morricone provided the film score.
In Europe, the film was a substantial box office success, playing for multiple years in some cities. However, it was greeted with a mostly negative critical response upon its 1969 theatrical release in the United States and was a financial flop. The film is now generally acknowledged as a masterpiece and one of the best western films ever made.[1][2]

I always thought Claudia Cardinale played a real hot role in this picture. As a young teenager back then she really got my attention.[:p]
I learned to play the homonica tune that Broson played, and my mother would hide my hormonica.[:D]

Many actors have very socialistic attitudes. With a few noted exceptions such as Tom Selleck and others. My point is if you decided to only watch movies that didn't have actors with what we would call "commie" attitudes you wouldn't see very many movies. Most likely none. 0 -

I'd rather read any day than watch most anything spewed by Hollyweird, regardless of the screen size.0 -
I like the part where Jack Elam catches a fly in the barrel of his revolver.I saw him in a interview where he says it was not planned,just happened so they left it in the picture.I also like the squeaking windmill in the background during the flys capture and release.
