HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. - A military-style weapon discharged at a weapons exhibition at a gun club Wednesday night, killing a man, state police said.
Police did not release the man's name and were trying to piece together how the Gatling 7.62 minigun mounted on the back of a Hummer discharged.
"We don't know if the gun went off in error, or his actions caused it, or what happened," Trooper Matthew McCalpin said.
The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the Hollidaysburg Sportsmens Club in Frankstown Township, about 90 miles east of Pittsburgh.
Police will call in a military weapons expert to help with the investigation, McCalpin said.
"We're going to have to check everything," he said.
The Gatling gun was part of a weapons exhibition offered by East Coast Gun Sales, which hosted a pistol shoot and dinner for those attending a three-day conference at the Blair County Convention Center.

Was this a single round discharging, or did it go full auto and pump about 100 .308 rounds through him?
Was this at an outdoor range where they would have live fire demonstrations? Why was there even ammunition in the gun?0 -
