Lung passages constricted due to wasp venom. You're having a mild serum-shock reaction. May not be a lung infection. Joe

Look at the bright side nunn.
A wasp flew up your shorts and only stung you on the leg ,,,,, count yourself fortunate!

Something to consider, only my bronchitis symptoms started before the insect attack.

Dawnie did work in an ER, but she is not a nurse. If she were a nurse, I would be retired.

From personal experience, it takes a long time for the positive effects to kick in. In the long run, you are doing the right thing. Keep at it.

I had a couple of rough nights sleeping on my back in the Lazyzboy. Still can't lie down and it is 3 weeks today. Wife says I have become a professional grouch. Resorted to taking ambien cr to get to sleep but not every night. They don't work for me as advertised with 8 hours sleep but hey I get some sleep out of them.

My wife quit once and stayed sick all the time. At a doctor visit, the doctor told her that if she could smoke only 5 cigs a day, it would actually be good for her. After breast cancer she quit again, but smokes about 3-5 a day. She is never sick, breaths well, (but snores like a freight train) and feels good most of the time. The trick is limiting to 3-5 a day. Hang with it, Mr. Nunn. You will be much better in the long run. At least you probably smell better.

When did you quit? I quit a 7 year, 3 pack a day habit about 20 years ago and it took about a year for my lungs to totally return to normal. In the first 3 months that I quit, it actually got worse.

Actually, if it's serious enough to keep you at home posting on GB,
I'd seriously consider getting it checked out.

I keep bees and occasionally get stung.

Best thing for an insect sting is a penny. Spit on one side of a penny, a little dab of baking soda and hold it on the sting site for 2 minutes. Almost always fixes it right up. With a bee, be sure to get the stinger out first.

Hope you get to feelingbetter soon.

When I was a kid and I'd get stung by a wasp, my dad would take his skoal out of his mouth and put it where the sting was. He said it would draw the poisen out. I don't know what was worse, the sting or the wet skoal on my skin.[:D] Hang in there Nunn, bronchitis is a bad deal, but you're still strong and fairly young. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Hey David...it certainly helped with my chest colds. Do you take any vitamins? I take two different vitamins and I have not really gotten sick since I started taking them...even when my wife and daughter have gotten sick. I used to get sick whenenever they got sick... The only time I've gotten sick since I started taking these is when I run out of them and don't take them for a couple weeks.

It's just a bad year around these parts David. We are setting records for fungus, mold and polin, and it's making everyone sick. If you are prone to bronchitis, you don't have a chance this year. All the crap in the air is inflamming everyones lungs.

Hope you feel better soon. I'll say a little prayer for ya'![;)]
