? about AK drums

So their are a few out there right? Romanian 75rds, Russian 75rds, China 100rds. Was their ever 75rd Chinese drums?

Which should I buy? I have heard the Euro drums loose sping tension when kept loaded...........the Chinese you can keep loaded and then wind up when ready to shoot this way they don't lose tension. Is this true? If so I am buying a Chinese drum as long as it will fit my Romanian AK

    i had a chinese one, dont get the top loader, unless you have a mag loader, the top loader will be taxing on your thumbs, get the chinese one that you can open the back and stack the ammo in it, then twist it and your ready to go.

    I have a Norinco 75rds. You can fit 80rds. Paid $125 locally, brand new condition. The Norincos and Polys load from the back, as SNoize posted and they are blued...not crappy like the Romanians.

    I keep mine loaded in the safe. If the SHTF, all I'll have to do is crank it and go.

    My advice: get a Chinese. Cost more but worth it.
    I've never seen a Russian one for sale.

    +1 The chinese 75rd drums are the way to go. I believe the Romanian drums are the top loaders. I paid $125 for my 1st Chinese drum and $50 for the 2nd. I may pick up some ramanian top loaders some day if the price is right.

    I second the idea of th eback loading chinese ones.

    heck, I just sold an SKS drum that was back loading.
