It happens to all of us. But don't let it spoil you. There is a God and there is karma. He'll get what he deserves eventually. You may not see it. But it will happen.
Keep you head up and live by the Golden Rule. It's a tough haul sometimes, but you'll be better off in the end.

That is why I went into business myself 17 years ago,..........nobody to blame but yourself then.
You either sink or swim, based upon your own work ethic, not corporate politics!
    Good luck.

While I try to agree and believe, I'd rather live in a place where people don't do this kind of crap to each to begin with. I even don't wish any ill onto that person, I am just a little bit amazed at how people can sleep at night knowing they are messing with other peoples livelihood, not to mention, this particular person is an avid church goer and a practicing Christian, which, I guess, doesn't mean jack---- nowadays. And thank you for the encouragement, Marc, thank you too.

A lot of avid churchgoers and "practicing" Christians are simply going through the motions -- when others can see them at it. This has always been the case with individuals of every faith and always will be. Faith, overall, though, is a good thing for people to practice.

There is a God, and there is karma. And, quite often, if you walk the straight and narrow and rise above the scum, instead of sinking to their level -- you actually do get to see people get what they have coming. It might not be any dramatic comeuppance (drawing and quartering have been unfortunately outlawed in most civilized parts of the world [}:)]), but you might be given the opportunity to see this piece of crap continually perplexed as to why his life just doesn't seem to work out. Doesn't sound like anyone from God on down the line is going to be particularly inclined to lift a finger to help him, knowing what he's like -- and we all, sooner or later, need help. That's when we find out the true worth of how we've done unto others.

I'd be happy to sneak around and help him get his.

    Email me.

He WILL get his..But in my opinion, it doesn't hurt to kind of assist karma along a bit here and there...Is it possible you could? Safely of course...

What's the old saying ..."No good deed will go un-punished!"

In my experience "No good deed goes unpunished" is a truism. Whether it is some sort of cosmic joke or just a little Karmic test to see if you will continue to be kind to as/holes is the question.

Never compromise yourself or your values, but do evaluate your friends a little more critically. Not all are as nice as you would hope. [B)]

Unless you have been fired, I don't believe you are qualified to be a consultant. I have known several that got fired and then were hired as consultants BY THE SAME COMPANY at more than they made before. All were CEO level.

Like you said, there is no honor among theives. They will turn their backs on a friend as easilly as an enemy. Just watch and wait.
It is a dirty same that there are people out there who need to turn what could be a pleasant work environment into their own little personal game of "Survivor: The Office Version."
Going through something of the same thing myself.
All you can do is keep you own nose to the grindstone, and don't worry, unless they greet you with a smile.
That usually means you should likely be checking you back for a knife.
Been there, going thru it now.
    Hang in there....
