Laramie Wyoming
Cousin is going to some automotive school out there. So what's out there? ANything? Middle of nowhere? I'm guessing it is a lot like what someone here describes Minot SD is like, but a little better view.

If he likes to shoot rifles there are tons of prairie dogs and coyotes. Nice place if you like it laid back and quiet...Bull 0 -
Laramie is a college town. But the surrounding area is very nice. As the previous poster stated, it is very windy. Many people have the image of Wyoming as being just wide open and desolate, but there are some very nice places to live, if you don't mind the severe winters and the constant winds. 0 -
The male/female population of Laramie, when college is in session....is 1 guy for three ladies.
If you don't mind being roped and tied on occasion....wellllll..

The automotive college he'll attend is one of the best in the country... Nice town, windy (but not as bad as chugwater!), lots of girls, lots of boots and pretty friendly. 0 -

I have not been in Laramie since the early '70's. I all I remember is, look for the cafe with the parking lot full of pickups. That will be the best place to get breakfast, and you can ease into the mens dorms for a free shower. 0 -
I liked Laramie fine. Lived in Cheyenne in '92 and '93.
There's fishing, hunting, skiing, all the outdoor games plus the State Capitol is just over the hill. Unless the weather's bad, then the State Capitol is wayyyyy the Hell and gone over the hill.

I prefer Cheyenne but Laramie has its charm I suppose. Its expensive to live there compared to the surrounding areas. 0
