Went to a big flee market saturday and stopped at this one ladies backed in old beat-up car stand. I like to go to people that just drive-in and put their stuff on the ground. I never go to some-one that has an established stand, especially an antique store.
Now, this little old lady has things planted in the middle of all her junk[:(!].......so after rooting around I find this Palm Vase with a tag on it for 50.00.[:0] She is watching me[V] and I put it down and I hear her say Mister, Mister U can have that for 20.00. Well now 50.00 to 20.00 that got to be the steal of the day [8D]
So I bought it and put some beautiful flowers in it[:p] an I showed it to everyone, [8D]LOOK what I got at the flee market for 10.00[}:)]( you never tell anyone what you actually paid for it)
Well every-one laughed at me[:D] and said it was only worth 5.00[:(!] only because of the flowers ( HELL[V]I put the flowers in it and I was not about to tell them)
I'm going to post a pic of this beautiful Palm Vase[8D] and U people tell me if this isn't a great find[8D]....what the Hell do they know anyways[:(!]

...A friend of mine just imported two gross of similar vases from China at a cost of $.99 ea., he sells them to flea market vendors. He also imports oriental samuri swords, knives, figurines etc. that are newly made "antiques", that do look like they were made 500 years ago...there is a world wide market for "new" antiques, and the orientals are masters of making new "antiques"...[:D] 0 -

You got scammed by an artist disquised as a back the car in and lay everything on the ground lady.
Thats an old trick to put a high price tag on it and then instantly cut the price by 60%.
But then again 20.00 sure aint what it used to be.

It sure seems to me that anything you find asthetically pleasing is worth $20. It looks a lot like this one:

i work for my mother as a part of our family florist. i would glady pay 20-30 bucks for the vase at potterybarn, hobby lobby, ect
the flowers although silk look bad because there purple. deep red or burghandy would suit the vase better
but you werent scammed0 -
how would they know it's only worth $5, did they find the exact on on ebay or it a book of values? 0
