Ruger, hands down. I carry a blatant prejudice against anything made by Taurus.

Any of the Taurus' but prefer the .44 Mag.

am leaning towards the 44mag. I've heard some things about the Raging Bulls falling apart after a few hundred rounds of 454...don't know how true it is. Just trying to see if Taurus quality is up to par before I go that route.

Go with the Ruger, the Taurus is real nice but it's not a Ruger, also stick with the 44 mag.

Ruger, tough and RELIABLE. You can get a pretty nice trigger pull with Wolff springs and they are easy to install. Taurus[xx(].[:(!]

i would have to say ruger, i don't know many people who have ever had a problem out of a ruger, taurus the other hand i don't know many who hasn't, i always think of resale value when making such choices, ruger will retain much more of it's original value over the taurus

never did care for taurus because they made a name buy copying other manufacturers firearms

    Easy question - RUGER ! ! !

I've owned many different Taurus handguns over the years - - 2 of them 44mags and they were both pieces of junk that wore out (got too loose) well before 1,000 rounds. Maybe I just got lemons but it I will never buy another Taurus revolver again. Funny thing is I feel completely different about Taurus semi-autos . . . I think they are some of the best guns out there.

    I like this one:

But to answer your question, I'd go with the RUGER, for sure.

Ruger for sure! Its cast frame is much stronger than the forged frame of the Taurus. Taurus has the bad habit of tossing in fillers into the mix of their metal cocktail!

I carry the Ruger, was a Christmas present in 1981. Have used it for a lot of seasons punching paper and shooting Metallic Silhouette with open sights. It has a 6 1/2 inch barrel and is a standard factory issue stainless model. Anything that can hit a ram image at up to 200 meters can sure handle anything running around the deer woods, either snorting or growling. Load my own fodder, can't recall the recipe but I have it downstairs. Use a scope on the 30-06 and the wife's .308 but not on the handgun.
