Not much. The only time I ever thought Monty Python was even remotely funny, was in 1977 and I was tripping on Mushrooms.
I really don't know of any modern English comiedians.0 -
Well I'm pretty dang random, so you can catch me laughing over almost anything. 0 -
Monty Python of course. Bloody brilliant. 0 -

Brit humor (humour) takes some adjusting to - most is just too 'dry' for me. How
does 'Yank humor' tickle yer funny bones?0 -

good point.i f ind your canned laughter irritating! yes our humour is dry.we like the loser side in people![:o)]0 -
most of us like them and our own government about as much as we like ticks and chiggers. the people are o.k. , but they talk kinda funny. most of the yanks are warm...they got fevers. but the rebs, they are cool[:D][:D][:D] 0 -
I don't care for British comedy. Nothing against our best friends and blood cousins, it's just I don't find your comedy funny. 0 -
I rarely watch TV but I like Bennny Hill. 0 -
Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Monty Python (sometimes), and Catherine Tate all make me laugh. 0 -
...I didn't realize the British had humor, they weren't laughing when we kicked their tyranical butts.
... Ray (mond) is funny, when I can understand WTH he is saying ([:D]) other than him, I don't find any humor in anything British.
..OH! Wait a minuit, I do find it humorous the way they embrace the musloon terroist like our Liberals do...[;)]

Red Dwarf, The Office, Monty Python... there're some more, these ones are the first that come to mind. 0 -
eddy izzard rocks, a bit wierd but funny, brit comedians can get by with more than your american caucasion comedian
WARNING: language, dressed like a flaming....{yes same guy in "the riches}
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KJ2yRTRlMFU
you got to watch it all to get it0 -
I'll second Eddy Izzard. I believe I have all his albums. 0 -
Dave Allen
Dick Emery (my favorite)
Morcombe and Wise
Cook and Moore
The Ronnies: Barker and Corbett
Benny Hill was a pervert.
To name but a few. Brit humor is anything but dry when you watch any of these men perform.
Clouder..0 -
BR here NOT classic...
On public tv, I think its saturday nite, they run British comedies, and I love it....
Are you being served, Hyacinth, just to name a couple...I cant remember the names of them...Have seen them many times and I still love them....
I find it rather amusing that a lot of our american sitcom/comedies are based on english ones...
Threes company for example is based on a british show...0 -
Blackadder, Python & Goon Show. How can we forget that well-known typing error, Spike Milligna!! 0 -
Oh, I forgot all about Peter Cook! Derek & Clive, Pete & Dud... 0 -
Monty Python, as someone else said, bloody brilliant!
I also dig "Absolutely Fabulous." Those two chicks are funnier than heck.0 -
I don't even watch American comics/comedies.
Why on earth would I waste my time on alien humor??

British-Hugh Laurie's early roles on BBC as Bertie Wooster, from PG Wodehouse's "Jeeves" series.
American-"Family Guy." Also the new show "the Big Bang Theory."0 -
Welcome to the board uk-bulldog. [:)]
I haven't seen any Brit TV lately, but I used to like Benny Hill, Are You Being Served?, As Time Goes By, One Foot In The Grave, Fawlty Towers, Dad's Army and a few others I don't recall now.
When Rowan Atkinson aka Mr. Bean was fiddling around with the fountain pen gun in Johnny English and killed the secretary without noticing, I almost split a gut. The Brit humor can be a little dry, but when they come up with something funny, it's even funnier.0 -
The Young Ones
that mond guy is pretty funny...0 -
