Yes firearms are completely illegal in Guatemala.
I worked for 2 years with 2 Guatemalan immigrants on a construction job.
One of these guys bought a .38 from the paper and a box of ammo. He shipped the pistol back home concealed in a stereo. His wife was going to bury the gun and ammo in the yard.
Both guys told me that guns were verboten in their country.0 -
