hypothetical shoot

say you were in the sticks and some methed up scum attacked you and you had to shoot. there were no witnesses and you could get away clean. what would be the sense in calling the cops and subject yourself to arrest, big legal bills,whims of a jury and a civil law suit?

    You could atleast annonomously contact the police with the details and where the body is so the family could atleast know what happened to their drug addict relative before the maggots eat him.

    In my opinion, self defense is not a crime. If I don't commit a crime why call the Police.
    If I did call the Police and I did my part right, the scumbag in question is dead and can offer no conflicting story to what I say happened.
    Iffy situation, I'll let you know what I did if it ever happens to me.
